At DRAGONFLY GARDEN FARM We do things
a little differently! Our animals are
raised using organic principles. We
raise only what we can sell. We sell
our products mainly at the "Farm Gate",
which means you are purchasing directly
from the farmer.
We raise our animals WITHOUT the use
of Chemicals, GMO's (Genetically Modified
Organisms), Antibiotics or Hormones.
We don't use them because we don't need
them! Our meat is succulent, finely
textured and prized for what is DOES
NOT contain - chemicals!
We feed a diet of fresh green grass
in spring, summer and fall, and hay
made from the perennial grass fields
on our farm. Some grain is offered but
it is CERTIFOED ORGANIC, and purchased
from local certified producers which
ensures a market for their crops.
We offer CERTIFIED ORGANIC Kelp, Natural
Rock Salt and Minerals to our animal's
diet to ensure they are healthy. A proactive,
natural and holistic approach is used
to maintain animal health.
NO DRUGS
We treat any illness or health issue
first with herbal or natural remedies,
to date, each health challenge has been
remedied without the intervention of
antibiotics or drugs.
We offer a meat CSA FARM SHARE which
includes various cuts of meat from all
the animals we raise. Custom butchering,
Local Meat Samplers, Beef or Pork Samplers
of 20, 40, 60, 80 or 100lbs, quarter,
side or whole animals, and of course,
custom orders. We also sell directly
to restaurants, or retail locations
and we deliver in a temperature-controlled
environment.
Quality Takes Time
Grass Fed meat is very lean - Extra
Extra Lean, and animals raised on pasture,
taste better, have a finer texture,
are raised longer and have a unique
taste that can not be replicated by
science, although I am sure they are
working on it!
BEEF
We process our beef cattle at 28 months
of age. All beef cattle are raised on
our farms from birth to processing.
We take time to allow for marbling to
develop naturally at around 24 months
and process at 28 months. At processing,
our beef cattle are the same weight
conventional farmers process their 15
month old "production units", around
1200 to 1500 pounds. Our beef ages for
14 days before being custom butchered.
We sell our meat by the pound in your
hand, not the hanging weight of the
animal. If you purchase meat by the
hanging weight, you are paying for waste,
like bones, gristle or unusable parts.
TURKEY
We love raising turkeys outside! They
love the outdoors and they are curious
and happy when grazing on a warm, sunny
day. We keep fresh water and CERTIFIED
ORGANIC grain indoors at all times and
the Turkey's free eat as they normally
would. Our Turkey's are ready and available
FRESH for Thanksgiving!
CHICKEN & DUCK
Available throughout the year, our non-White
Rock Chickens are happy and healthy,
eat grass and have access to indoors
where we offer fresh water and CERTIFIED
ORGANIC grain. We offer Peking or Muscovy
Ducks in the fall and at Christmas.
PORK
Pastured PORK is like no other. Our
processors make the best farmers sausage,
summer sausage, ham and bacon that many
of our customers have ever tasted! Our
processor does it the old fashioned
way, by smoking the meat for 14 days
and taking pride in the end results.
They are a small processor that is family
owned and operated, close by in rural
Grey County, Ontario. We have a lot
of respect for their integrity and workmanship.
Local Meat Sampler - includes 15 pounds
of various cuts of any of the meat above.

holidays and everyday.
We offer the local meat sampler for
those who want to try it all, support
local farmer's, or taste the Quality
of slow grown grass-fed meat everyday.
The best cuts of a variety of meats,
for the reasonable price of $59.00.

5lb Chicken
4lb Roast Beef
4lb Roast Pork or Ham
2 lb Ground Beef
2 lb Pork Sausage
3 lb Steak (T-bone, Sirloin, Striploin
or Wing)
